Mr. Davies was Project Manager for this study managed by the BC Ministry of Transportation on behalf of the Pacific Gateway Land Utilization Working Group. The scope included forecasts of demand and supply of industrial land in British Columbia to support expansion of the logistics industry related to international gateway traffic through provincial ports, and recommendations for addressing identified shortfalls.

The study included assessment of the potential for optimization or rationalization of port terminals, rail facilities, air cargo operations and off-dock logistics facilities on the existing land base; detailed analysis of the availability of suitably located and zoned industrial land; and recommendations on strategies for ensuring the availability of sufficient land to accommodate the anticipated requirements of the logistics sector.
